The Hamilton Lady Broncs returned to their winning ways Tuesday night with a victory over the Dillon Lady Beavers by a score of 41 to 33. The game, at the Hamilton High School, was rescheduled from earlier in the season.

The Lady Broncs had an early lead in a low-scoring first quarter and were ahead by a score of 9 to 2 at the end of the quarter. They maintained that lead through the second quarter and were ahead 16 to 8 at the half.

In the third quarter, Dillon came roaring out and scored 10 points to Hamilton's one point. The Lady Beavers were trailing by only one point 19 to 18, before Hamilton regained their aim at the basket and recovered their lead. At the end of three periods the Lady Broncs led 29 to 20. Fourth quarter continued in the same fashion and the final score was Hamilton Lady Broncs 41 and the Dillon Lady Beavers 33.

The Broncs and Lady Broncs will play Butte Central this Saturday. KLYQ will carry the live play-by-play at the Hamilton gymnasium with the Broncs at 4 p.m. The Lady Broncs will be playing at the same at Butte and we'll have regular updates on that game, too.

If you're a wrestling fan, the Hamilton Broncs will be at Stevensville Thursday for a 5 p.m. dual meet, and then Friday the Bronc grapplers will be at Butte Central for another dual matchup.

By the way, this is the weekend for the Montana State Class A Speech/Debate/Drama Meet, which will be linking the contestants virtually online from each of their schools. The competition starts Friday, January 29, at 4 p.m. and continues all day online on Saturday, January 30. Good luck to all the competitors!
