The Hamilton Lady Broncs will go to the State Class A Tournament next week. They won their loser-out contest Saturday morning against Dillon 48 to 37 and advance to a 5 p.m. Consolation basketball game in the Western A Divisional in Butte. Four teams advance to the State competition, so, win or lose Saturday afternoon, the Lady Broncs will go to Great Falls.

The Lady Broncs started the morning game with an 8 to 4 lead at the end of one period and extended that lead to 7 points, 20 to 13 at the half. After three quarters of play, Hamilton led 31 to 16. Dillon attempted to stage a comeback, but fell short and the Lady Broncs won the game by a score of 48 to 37.

The 5 p.m. game will be against Whitefish, who defeated Browning in a loser-out game played at the same time today as the Hamilton-Dillon game. The divisional basketball games are being played in the Butte Central Maroons gym and the Butte Civic Center. The Lady Broncs will be playing in the Maroons gym for the consolation game, while the Class A boys consolation game will be at the Civic Center.

The Hamilton Broncs are also facing a loser-out game this morning against Butte Central. The winner of that game will go to the 5 p.m. game and the loser will be done for the season.

KLYQ will be carrying the Hamilton Broncs game at 11:30 a.m. and we'll be on the air for the 5 p.m. games, too. The games are on 1240 AM KLYQ Radio, on line at www.klyq.com and on that free KLYQ cellphone app.
