Hamilton Lady Broncs Lose to Frenchtown in District A Tourney
The Hamilton Lady Broncs lost their first game of the conference in the District Southwestern A basketball tournament. Frenchtown went out to an early lead and kept it through the game, winning by a score of 49-41.
The Frenchtown Lady Broncs led at the end of a low-scoring first quarter 10 to 5. At the half, the Hamilton girls were behind by 10 points 21-11. They began to close the gap in the third quarter and trailed by 7 at the start of the fourth quarter 31-24.
After coming within one point of the lead, the Hamilton girls were outscored in the final minutes and recorded only their second loss of the season. The final score was Frenchtown 49 Hamilton 41.
Hamilton will go into loser-out action Saturday morning against Stevensville at 9:30 a.m. That game will be in the Hamilton Middle School gym on South 5th Street. KLYQ will have that game on the air and on-line.
Frenchtown will continue into the Championship game Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m.
