The Hamilton Lady Broncs lost to the Ronan Maidens in a semi-final game at the Western A Girls Divisonal Basketball tournament in Butte Friday night. The Lady Broncs will be playing an early morning game to stay in the tourney.

The teams scored about the same in the first quarter with Ronan making 12 points to Hamilton's 10 by the end of the period. In the second quarter, the Maidens opened a scoring gap and led 24 to 16 at the half. The scoring stayed about the same in the third period with Ronan's total 39 to Hamilton's 23 as the final period started. The final score was Ronan 54 Hamilton 32.

Hamilton Lady Broncs will play Dillon in a loser out game at 9 a.m. in the Butte Central gym. The winner of that game will go to a 5 p.m. Consolation match against the winner of the Browning-Whitefish loser out game, being played at the same time Saturday morning at the Butte Civic Center. The Championship game will pit Ronan against Columbia Falls at 8 p.m. Saturday night. Four teams will go on to the State Tournament.

The Hamilton Broncs are also in a Saturday morning loser-out game. The boys play Butte Central, who lost to Dillon 58 to 48 in a semi-final Friday game. The Broncs play at 11:30 a.m. in the Butte Civic Center. KLYQ will carry both games on 1240 AM Radio, online at www.klyq.com and on the KLYQ cellphone app.
