In a move to practice caution and community safety, the Hamilton Players' production of "Steel Magnolias" will be streamed on a website instead of having a live audience in the theater. Tickets are $18 and will allow you a "single use" password to view the show. The password will be emailed to you prior to the show, so make sure you include your email address when purchasing your ticket. There are limited tickets for each showing during the three weekend run, so visit the Hamilton Players website or call the box office Fridays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The first shows will be Saturday, August 8 at 8 p.m., and Sunday August 9 at 2 p.m. The show will run Thursday through Sunday on the next two weekends (August 13-16 and August 20-23) with Thursday, Friday and Saturday showtimes at 8 p.m. and the Sunday Matinees at 2 p.m.

Executive Director denise rose said the Board of Directors noted recent developments with COVID-19 and with tourist season and more travelers in the valley, they felt the odds of virus transmission would be higher. Added to that, over 50 percent of theater volunteers and audience are in an identified high risk category, due to age. As a result, they decided to not have a live audience for the performances. The box office will help customers with any technical questions they have about the web broadcast. The email is boxoffice@hamiltonplayers.com. She also said that they hope to have the theater open for the October show "Clue."
