If the State of Montana continues its phased opening, the Hamilton Players community theater group will be on stage at the end of summer. Executive Director denise rose said that a small cast play would be possible in August, and that play is "Steel Magnolias." There will be reduced seating in the auditorium, but tickets will be purchased through the usual program. Auditions for the production will be June 22 and 23 at 6 p.m. at the Hamilton Playhouse. Due to coronavirus safety, only two auditioners will be admitted at a time for social distancing. The staff will be wearing masks, but the actors will not be required to don masks at the auditions. She said that rehearsals will be much different than the usual schedule, including use of online resources. The group hopes to finish the 2020 season with "Clue" late this fall and the musical "Crazy For You" in February. For more information, email boxoffice@hamiltonplayers.com.

The Hamilton Playhouse costume shop is overflowing and a costume/vintage clothing sale is being prepared for two weekend in June - June 19 and 20 and June 26 and 27, from Noon until 5 p.m. each day. denise said there are costumes, dresses, skirts, shirts, blouses, jackets, coats, fures, shoes, hats and more. The money raised will help keep the local live productions happening. Unfortunately, the kids Summer Theater Camp has been canceled for this year. They're planning on a summer camp in 2021.
