Monday Morning, the November 11th Veterans Day celebration at Hamilton High School included words, music and applause. The 1,200 students of the Hamilton school district were there, along with the public and, in in a place of honor in the middle of gym floor, the veterans (see photo above). Dan Kimsey and Marlin Lewis hosted the songs and speeches. Roger Laferriere of the US Coast Guard gave the keynote address. Poems were read by Katia Fain, Cayden Gonzales and Mike Wilson. Essays were presented by Eva Wymer, Rhain Hollinsworth, Elaina Lewis, Jasmine Golie, Jaxson Spencer and Jordan Graves. The Hamilton High School and Middle School combined choirs sang during the ceremony and the Hamilton High School Band provided the March of the Armed Forces.

At 2 p.m., the World War One Doughboy statue at the Ravalli County Museum was the scene of the American Legion Post 47 ceremony (see photos below). After the laying of memorial wreaths and a 21-gun salute, the ceremony moved inside the museum for further speeches and music.
