Friday evening, the Hamilton High School Stadium was lit up for a half hour in a "Be The Light" campaign to support the students. athletes, staff and community in the statewide "Stay At Home" restrictions. The public schools throughout Montana remain shuttered this month.

The Hamilton School Board will have their regular monthly meeting Tuesday, April 14, at the District board room on Daly Avenue. The public is asked to not attend the meeting, but instead watch the Facebook Live stream at hamiltonschooldistrict3 on Facebook, which will start at 6:30 p.m. On the agenda will be the cancellation of the trustee election. The two open board positions had two candidates filing for office, and Montana guidelines allow elections with candidates equal to or less than the vacancies to be cancelled. Seth GaleWyrick and Jeni Seifert are elected by acclamation. The Hamilton school district voters will still receive a school election ballot, though. The Bitterroot Community College issue is on a countywide school election mail-in ballot, which will be mailed April 17th and must be mailed back to the Ravalli County Election Office by May 5th.

Also on the agenda will be the district's response to the Governor's Declaration of State Emergency and school closures and other changes considered necessary to the response plans. The summer meal program will be discussed, along with regular committee and principal reports.
