This is the week that the members of Hamilton's chapter of Soroptimists International are raising money for women's scholarships in the Bitterroot Valley. They usually have the annual "Evening Wrapped in Chocolate" event with music and a live auction. However, due to COVID-19, that was cancelled. But they still have great auction items and have put them up for bidding online. The auction started Sunday and wraps up Thursday evening, September 17. The auction includes a ski trip, golfing for two, the ever-popular "glamping" weekend and other one-of-a-kind items, including some chocolate offerings.

The money raised this week will support annual scholarships for 12 women of all ages, who are entering college, returning to college or need training to advance their careers. That includes categories for women veterans and women over age 50. The Ravalli County women are invited to apply at the Soroptimist website. And that's the place you can register for the auction, too. is the site.
