The Hamilton Broncs and Lady Broncs both won their home-standing basketball games against Stevensville Thursday, January 30. The Class A Conference games started with the Lady Broncs defeating the Lady Yellowjackets 44 to 26. Both teams had trouble finding the basket in the first quarter with only 5 points scored between them. Scoring was much better in the second quarter - at the half Hamilton led 22 to 16. The Lady Broncs led 35 to 22 after three and finished ahead of the Stevensville Lady Yellowjackets 44 to 26.

Then, the boys came to the floor. Hamilton led throughout the game. It was a little slow in the first quarter and Stevensville trailed by 4 points, 13 to 9, at the start of the second period. At the half, the Broncs led the Yellowjackets 23 to 15 and after three it was Hamilton 32 Stevensville 18. The final score was Hamilton 60 Stevensville 28. The next game broadcast by KLYQ Radio will be Thursday, February 6, when Hamilton travels to Frenchtown for another double-header night with both boys and girls teams.
