Hamilton Water Project on Big Corral Road Will Start
Detour signs will be in place Monday. The scheduled water main project along Big Corral Road east of Hamilton will start Monday, March 23, according to Hamilton Public Works Director Donny Ramer. The road will be closed and open to only local traffic during the major construction project. Mayor Dominic Farrenkopf said the project replaces an old leaking waterline along the roadway.
Ramer said in a news release that the 6-inch steel line will be replaced with a new 12-inch PVC water main. During the closure, drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists will be detoured to Kurtz Lane. Local driveways along Big Corral Road may be closed at times but will be reopened at the end of each workday. Other accesses may be affected during construction.
