History of Grammy Awards This Weekend on KLYQ
Without the music that we play on KLYQ, the Grammy Awards wouldn't be what they are today.
The awards will be presented to the latest top artists Sunday evening on CBS TV. But, all during the weekend, KLYQ 1240 AM will be presenting some of the past winners of the coveted music industry awards.
You can see how pop music steered the awards through the years. The first Grammy Record of the Year was "Volare" and the next year, "Mack the Knife" was the winner. Through the years, you can follow the trends from old to new, with "It's Too Late" by Carole King, "Hotel California," "Bette Davis Eyes," "What A Fool Believes," "Beat It," and "Rosanna" among the tunes.
Every hour this weekend, you'll hear a musical award winner from various categories in the Grammy lists. Enjoy! KLYQ is 1240 on AM radio dial and online at www.klyq.com and on your smartphone with the free app "RadioPup." Search cities and find us under the Missoula listings.
