The annual Marcus Daly Hospice "Tree of Lights" ceremony and lighting will be this Thursday, December 11, at 4:30 p.m.

The ceremony starts at the First Presbyterian Church on West Main, about a block from the hospital. The evening includes reading the list of names of those who have passed on, represented by lights on the tree. The Hamilton High School choral department and the First Presbyterian Church of Hamilton Bell Choir (see photo) will perform at the church.

Then, participants will walk the short distance to inaugurate a new Tree of Lights, right next to the Marcus Daly Hospice entrance at 1200 Westwood Drive. After the lighting, Hospice and Hospital volunteers will host a cookie reception in the hospital conference rooms.

If you want a loved one remembered on the free, lights are available for $5 at the Hospice center at 363-6503. Ornaments are also available for your own tree or to mail to family members, starting at $15.
