A summer evening in the Bitterroot Valley of Montana often includes those little fliers - hummingbirds.

You'll find hummingbird feeders throughout the valley, where some high-speed territorial battles take place. If you look closely, the tiny speeders can be found in trees, too.

And, if you remain still and quiet, they can zoom right up to you and hover - fearless because they can reach escape velocity in a flash - even backwards!
