Hundreds ‘Trick or Treated’ in Downtown Hamilton Tuesday
After a short, two-block-long Halloween Kids Parade at 4 p.m. Tuesday, the downtown businesses in Hamilton were swamped by hundreds of kids and their parents, doing a little trick or treat work during the daylight hours.
Hamilton Downtown Association officials estimated the crowd as one of the largest in recent memory as the lines stretched up and down Main Street, while Halloween-themed music played on the loudspeakers.
The downtown crowd also enjoyed a new feature this year - the Haunted House maze created by the Masons and Eastern Star organizations at the Masonic Hall on South 3rd Street.
The weather cooperated and smiles were all around.
