If you Missed ‘Shakespeare in the Parks’ in Hamilton, See it in Missoula
Last week, "Shakespeare in the Parks" brought the very funny "Comedy of Errors" to Hamilton. Hundreds turned out to see the actors bring the Bard's words into 1950s New York.
But, some of you missed it. And others were hoping that the other play that the Bozeman-based troupe is doing this summer - Richard III - was planned for the valley.
Not to worry. Both plays will be presented in Missoula at the end of the month. Both shows will set up on the Oval at the University of Montana. Richard III will be August 29 and The Comedy of Errors is set for the next night, August 30. Showtime is 6 p.m.
The plays will have visited over 60 towns when they end in September. The 10 professional actors were selected from national auditions and they do it all - set-up of the stage, props and electronics, tear-down, driving from place to place and, oh yes, acting in the plays.
The series is from the Montana State University's College of Arts and Architecture.
Hamilton's presentation was at the "large lawn" of Sapphire Lutheran Homes.
