A gaggle of kids attended the annual Hamilton Arbor Day tree planting Friday, April 26, at Claudia Driscoll Park. Hamilton Mayor Dominic Farrenkopf read the official city proclamation and kids from Evergreen Kids Corner and the Bitterroot Public Library's Friday Storytime program participated in a few stories at the Bitterroot Community Band bandshell.

After that, it was over to an area between the bandshell and the new Circle 13 skatepark. A triangle area (see photos below) has been fenced off with various trees planted to provide a buffer between the bandshell and the skate park. The kids helped dig holes and move dirt so the Public Works department crew could plant the trees.
