The annual Knights of Columbus Free Throw Basketball Contest for kids ages 9 to 14 will be at the Hamilton Middle School gym Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. The competition will have two age categories and there is a boys division and a girls division. According to Rick Borden, each contestant will have three practice shots and then will be judged on how many of 15 (or 25) free throws they can make in a row. The 9, 10 and 11-year-olds will shoot from a 12 foot mark and the 12, 13 and 14-year-olds will shoot from the free throw line. The 12 to 14-year-old boys will use a regulation basketball and all others will use a girls regulation basketball. The girls will compete against the girls and boys against the boys.

Parents need to have signed a registration form or come with their children to the competition. Use the south entrance at the Hamilton Middle School on South 5th. Winners will receive awards, and pizza will be served at the end of competition.
