Each year, historic figures such as Amelia Earhart, George Washington, John Muir and others crowd into the second floor display area of the Ravalli County Museum. Tonight, February 22, it's the annual Homeschool History Fair, with between 20-30 youngsters each presenting information about historic people or historic eras such as the gold rush.

Megan Pace describes the two-hour event as a "menagerie" with each student standing before an informational display. Many of the kids are in period costumes and can answer questions about their subject.

The free Homeschool History Fair includes home schoolers from throughout the valley and will only be open from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Ravalli County Museum at the corner of South 3rd and Bedford.
