May Fest Planned for First Hamilton Farmers Market of the Season
The 25th season of Hamilton's Farmers Market will be their "May Fest Celebration of Our Children."
The activities will be centered around the younger crowd Saturday, May 7, at the market that surrounds the Ravalli County Museum at South 3rd and Bedford.
Emma's House also gets into the fun with their annual Bike Parade "We Care About Kids," which starts at 800 North 2nd at 10:30 a.m. and concludes at Legion Park on South 2nd Street, where the participants are invited to join the 11:30 A.M. parade through the market. This year's theme "Green Man - Guardian of Our Gardens." Those in the parade are invited come dressed as their favorite "garden being."
The May Pole Dances for kids of all ages will start about 11:45 a.m. with the music of the Singing Salamanders, who will be providing music much of the morning.
By the way, SAFE's Mother's Day Cake Walk will be soon after the market opens Saturday - between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on the museum lawn. The market will include children-oriented non-profits. Vendor gift certificates will be given away during the morning.
