Missoula Parents and Students Warned About Local Wildlife
According to Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks officials, it looks like is starting to see a shift in wildlife activity. KPAX reports that lower elevations and urban populated areas look to be affected by the change.
Bears, deer, and mountain lions have all been seen reaching lower levels to search for food for the winter. As a result, Missoula schools are recommending that parents accompany their kids to bus stops, and to make sure their homes don't have anything that might attract animals to their yards.
So far, the Rattlesnake, Seeley Lake, and Potomac are among the areas that have had bear or mountain lion sightings. Have you seen any of these animals out and about? Even if you don't see them, be careful out there.
