The Montana A Cappella Society singers landed safely in Ireland this past weekend and almost immediately started singing.

Director Don Matlock "Skyped" into KLYQ Monday morning and reported that they had already been performing in a number of places - including the Guinness brewery, a church and an old ruins. Sunday evening, April 28, at a supper club on the outskirts of Galway, they were requested to sing "Danny Boy." At its conclusion, Don said the crowd gave them a standing ovation. Pretty cool for an American group.

As for the rest of the singers, Matlock said everyone was still "grinnin' and gigglin'."

KLYQ hopes to have reports from Ireland on our 7:30 a.m. Bitterroot Morning newscast this week as the Bitterroot Valley's musical group continues its tour in Ireland. They'll be in Galway through Tuesday and then head south Wednesday, May 1.
