Once again, traffic is being affected by road work on Fairgrounds Road on the east edge of Hamilton, starting Tuesday, June 16. Donny Ramer, Director of Public Works for the City of Hamilton, said one lane will be closed from North Daly Avenue to Kurtz Lane for curb, gutter, storm drainage work and paving and chip sealing. According to a news release this week, eastbound traffic will be allowed, but westbound traffic will be diverted at Kurtz Lane south to Marcus Street. When paving and chip sealing starts later in the project this summer, the road will be closed in both directions, along with Alice Avenue and Stonegate Drive intersections. At that time, the only access to the Stonegate area homes will be by Providence Way.

Another road project starts this week. Ravalli Street will be closed to through traffic starting Tuesday, June 16, between Highway 93 and Honey Lane. That closure will be for about two months as improvements are made to the road and sidewalk. Customers of Davison's Exxon and the Coffee Cup Cafe can use the Highway 93 entrances.
