The Hamilton City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Ryan Archibald to be the Hamilton City Court Judge. Archibald was recommended by the Mayor's Selection Committee, noting his qualifications and abilities. The council appointed him June 16. He replaces the retiring Michael Reardon. Archibald will serve as an appointment until the 2021 city election, when he'll need to run for election.

Archibald will assume his office after a swearing-in ceremony in the Hamilton Justice Center, 910 West Main, Tuesday, July 7. The ceremony will be in the Hamilton Courtroom at 9 a.m. The public is invited.
