The Hamilton Bronc football team will not have their first home game of the season Friday, August 28. Their opponents, the Butte Central Maroons, have forfeited this week's Class A high school game at Hamilton. Butte school officials said that between COVID-19 restrictions and recent smoky conditions, the Maroons did not get enough practice time to prepare for the first football game of the season.

Therefore, the first football game for the Broncs will be in Corvallis in a Friday night game next week, September 4, at the Corvallis Event Center field. That game will be at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on 1240 KLYQ AM, online at and on the KLYQ cellphone app. Other Hamilton sports teams are in action. The Hamilton golf team was in Columbia Falls Wednesday and Ronan Thursday. The Hamilton soccer teams will be in Whitefish Friday, with the girls at 2 p.m. and the boys at 4 p.m.
