Playoff Fever! Montana Grizzly Football Ticket Sales Update
It appears Friday night lights agree with Montana Grizzly football fans. But there is still a ways to go.
A seasonally mild weather forecast? A bitter rival coming to town? Basking in the afterglow of a 29-10 drubbing of the MSU Bobcats? They could all be contributing factors to what are pretty impressive ticket sales numbers so far for Friday night's FCS playoff game at Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
As of Wednesday morning, the Adams Center Ticket office reports that well over 21,000 seats have been sold to Friday night's Griz vs. Eastern Washington game. Those of us who have a history of attending playoff games know that that figure is getting close to entering the rarefied air belonging to several of Montana's most well-attended playoff home games. And we still have two days to go!
In Montana's FCS record 25th playoff appearance, the Griz will face a familiar foe in the high-flying Eagles, getting a shot at redemption for that 34-28 road loss in early October. But this time EWU will have to contend with a raucous Griz crowd that broke a stadium record against Montana State on November 20 (26,858).
As the Griz emerge from a bout against injuries, Montana enters the game on the uptick, with key components back in the lineup and a defense that is playing some of the best any Griz defense has every played.
Reserved seat tickets are $35 each. The Adams Center Ticket Office is open for walk-up sales today (Wednesday) and Thursday 8:30 a.m - 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. You can also go online to the Griz Playoff Ticket website and see what is still available there.
Here's hoping for a packed house and a big Griz win! UP WITH MONTANA! Can't get a tickee? We'll have live play-by-play on KGVO, KGVO-FM and KLYQ Friday night.
