Ravalli County now has 20 active COVID-19 cases, with four people hospitalized, according to the Monday afternoon report from Ravalli County Public Health. Four people were added to the "active positive tests" list Monday - a girl in her teens and three men - one in his 30s, one in his 50s and one in his 80s. Public Health nurses are investigating the source of transmissions.

In a related development, Public Health recently notified the Hamilton School District of a positive COVID-19 case in the school system. Affected staff and families were notified, according to officials. The Hamilton School Board will have a special meeting Wednesday, September 30, at 6:30 p.m. at the Daly Den of Daly Elementary School. A main part of the meeting will be an informational discussion of how COVID-19 cases will be dealt with at School District 3. The board will also talk about substitute teachers and a possible Classified/Certified Substitute Incentive and Finders Fee. The meeting will be on "Facebook Live" and the public is asked to view the internet broadcast instead of attending the meeting, due to COVID-19 concerns. You will be able to ask questions on-line.
