The Montana statewide "Stay at Home" orders went into effect this weekend. Even before that set of new rules (prohibiting public gatherings indoors and outdoors), some closures had already happened. Friday afternoon, the gates were closed and the closure signs went up at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds (see photo above). The Bitterroot National Forest had already closed almost all of its campgrounds and public toilets, including the Lake Como Recreation Area and the Larry Creek Group Area. Campgrounds that have been closed for the winter will stay closed until further notice. However, teails and trailheads (including Bass Creek) remain Open, but maintain your 6-foot social distancing while you're there. Lolo National Forest, Beaverhead=Deerlodge National Forest, Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest and other forests in the Northern Region are under similar restrictions. Call your local ranger station during regulat business hours for more information. When venturing out, "call before you go" or check online to confirm whether your destination is open.

The City of Hamilton doesn't have fences around its parks, but is advising citizens to stay away, including the Claudia Driscoll skate park. The Hamilton Downtown Business website has a list of open businesses that is updated regularly and has contact numbers. The Ravalli County Administration Center on South 4th had been open to the public, but as of Monday, it is closed. Below is the contact information from Ravalli County Mon-Fri during business hours:
