Friday evening, April 3, a second COVID-19 positive test was reported by the Ravalli County Incident Management Team. Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton said the patient is in his 60s and is isolated at home. Holton said the man contracted the virus while traveling. Public Health is investigating the exposure and the team said that additional positive cases were expected.

Statewide, the Saturday morning update from the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) added two positive cases to the Friday afternoon total. One was the Ravalli County case. Another new case in Missoula County raised that total to 18. A few of the other reports - Gallatin County at 101, Billings at 38, Kalispell at 20, Helena at 13, Toole County at 12 and Beaverhead County at 1. There have been 6,177 tests conducted in Montana so far. DPHHS reports five deaths and 24 people are hospitalized (the other positive cases are recovering at home in isolation). New numbers will be reported at about 5 p.m. Saturday.
