March 22, 2 p.m. -
The Ravalli County Coronavirus Incident Management Team (IMT) again confirmed Sunday morning that the one reported COVID-19 case in Ravalli County is a teenager resting now at her home. She caught the disease while she was traveling out of state and those in close contact to her are in isolation. Statewide, as of Sunday morning, there were 31 positive tests for COVID-19 throughout Montana.

Meanwhile, the IMT has two rumors to tackle:

  • 1. There is no "Shelter in Place" order in Montana, at this time.
  • 2. The IMT is not organizing a group to instruct people to not leave their homes. The real story - the Ravalli County Team is organizing volunteers to help people in need with such things as grocery shopping and maybe to help with cleaning public facilities. If you are interested, are between the ages of 18 and 25, have your own transportation and live in a household without dependents or older housemates, call (406) 375-6672 to volunteer. (The age criteria for the volunteers is to limit the risk or exposure of the higher-risk older population.)
