The judges have made their decisions and the public's votes on their favorite photo are being counted. All will be known Thursday evening at the Ravalli County Museum.

The winners of the annual Ernst Peterson "Photograph Montana" Contest will be honored at a public ceremony Thursday evening, March 9, starting at 6 p.m. The photos have been on display since early February and will be exhibited until April 14. The judges have made their decisions in the various categories - selecting first, second and third places in each of the divisions. The also picked "Best of Show" among all the entries.

There was a massive number of professional entries this year and winners will be announced in that category, too.

While you're at the Ravalli County Museum at the corner of Bedford and South 3rd in Hamilton, browse through the World War II photos of famed Bitterroot photographer Ernst Peterson. Ernst served in the military, stationed in China, Burma and India. Most of these photos have never before been seen by the public. Archivists discovered the cache of 1940s photos while indexing the Peterson photo collection.

There is no admission charge to the museum for the Award Ceremony and light refreshments will be served.
