After a number of shade trees died and were cut down in the boulevard on Bedford Avenue by the Ravalli County Museum, the Farmers Market group last year started a fund for replacement trees.

The first of those trees were planted Tuesday, April 11. Laura Craig of the Hamilton Farmers Market said a red oak and a linden tree were planted Tuesday. Another linden tree will be planted this month.

The Farmers Market starts May 6th with their May Fest.

However, two "Mini-Markets" will be held at Legion Park April 22 and April 29. The hours will be the same as the regular farmers market - 9a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Legion Park is just east of Hamilton's City Hall on South 2nd Street.
