The Ravalli County local races were swept by Republicans in the Tuesday General Election. The official count was completed about 3 a.m. Wednesday morning, November 4. Clerk and Recorder Regina Plettenberg said there were a record 28,828 ballots cast with an unprecedented 87 percent voter turnout.

In local elections, Republicans were the winners. Theresa Manzella outpolled Margaret Gorski for State Senate District 44, Michele Binkley was the winner against Laura Jackson for House District 85, Ron Marshall defeated Laura Merrill in House District 87. (vote totals below)

The Recall motion of Stevensville Mayor Brandon Dewey was defeated by a vote of 535 in favor and 584 against the Recall.
