Saturday ‘Ciao Bella’ to Fund Italy Trip for Bitterroot Singers
The final major fundraising event prior to the Montana A Cappella Society's trip to an Italian Choral Festival is Saturday, April 27, in Hamilton. Don Matlock, director of the Bitterroot Valley-based singers, said the "Ciao Bella!" evening will include announcement of the raffle winner of a trip for two to accompany the singing group to Italy in June. (And, no, the winners do not have to sing.) The Saturday evening event includes delicacies from a number of "tasting tables," along with desserts and Italian-themed cocktails, wine and beer. There will be a live auction with Bitterroot "experience-themed" offerings along with silent auction items. Call (406) 363-5778 for information on the $40 per person tickets. The group is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
The evening starts at 7 p.m. Saturday at the St. Francis Church Pastoral Life Center on South 5th Street. You can also find out more about the trip, the singers and the fundraising efforts at their website. The group has been proclaimed "Montana's Ambassador of Song" by Governor Steve Bullock.
