The Hamilton Playhouse stage is jam-packed with singing and dancing with its summer musical presentation of "Singin' in the Rain."

The play, based on the famous MGM movie, tells the tale of actors making the change from silent movies to "talkies," in the age of the "Jazz Singer." Starring Tim Shonkwiler, Natalie Naitl, Josh Gulli and Kate Ownby, the music and comedy carry the audience through familiar tunes and some outstanding dance numbers.

The play contains the music from the original movies, along with a few others you might recognize. The show opens Friday, June 12, and plays for three weekends, with Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for kids. The Hamilton Players Box Office is open 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. You can get your tickets on-line at the Hamilton Players website, too.

And, yes, it will rain!
