The Montana A Cappella Society has an annual tradition of a free concert at Christmastime. This year, they're planning a big night at the Hamilton High School Performing Arts Center.

This Saturday, December 19, the "Christmas - Sweet and Savory" show will start at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted on behalf of the Linda Massa Youth Home in Hamilton. Volunteers will also be selling refreshments, with proceeds also going to the youth home.

The A Cappella Society's director, Don Matlock, has prepared some surprises for the evening, including music from the fairly recent past. Usually, the group delves deep into Victorian times and earlier for their selections. And, humorous songs are included in the evening's lineup. The evening will be fine for the whole family.

Since its formation, the singing group has performed throughout Montana, along with San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and a memorable tour in Ireland.

The Performing Arts Center is part of Hamilton High School at 327 Fairgrounds Road. By the way, the society can always use new singers. Call (406) 363-5778.
