Snowfall in the Bitterroot Valley Monday morning, November 28, means even more snow in the mountains.

Lost Trail Pass, Lookout Pass and Lolo Pass all were reporting fresh snow on the roadways early Monday. The National Weather Service predicted the snowfall would slow down by the afternoon and another surge of winter may come our way by Thursday or Friday this week.

Lost Trail Powder Mountain, one of the local ski areas that often has a very long ski season, has tentatively set their opening date for this Thursday, December 1. However, you should check their websitefor the latest conditions before heading up this next next weekend .
