Snow Geese in Flight Around the Bitterroot
Springtime at the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge can be entertaining.
This photo of snow geese taking off from one of the ponds shows only some of the hundreds of snow geese that are passing through the valley.
The herons have established their rookery in the evergreen trees west of the ponds and the ducks and Canada geese are all over the place.
In our weekly report with Bob Danley, he also mentions many of the early spring plants and butterflies that are welcoming the warming temperatures. That report is heard weekly on Thursday mornings at 8 a.m. on 1240 KLYQ AM in Hamilton MT.
