The group of guys known as "Mammo Men," raise money for the "Aid for Mammography Fund" in Ravalli County during the month of October.

October, by the way, is "Breast Cancer Awareness Month." The Mammography fund was started by the Soroptimists in the Bitterroot to help women who can't otherwise afford a mammogram. Over the past few years, the fund has greatly increased with the "Sprinkle Pink" monthly activities. Money earned is matched by Hamilton's Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital.

The Mammo Men finale is this Friday, October 16, at Blacksmith Brewery in Stevensville. The guys will be trying to outdo each other in raising money. They are all dressed in various pink attire and this year all have personal connections with people who have been affected by breast cancer.

The fun starts at 5:30 p.m. Friday and includes Mammo Men Josh Gulli, Kenyon McDaniel, Brian Gum, David Haywood, Steve Lewis, Dr. Woody Jones, and Gregory Lanoue.

Sprinkle Pink activities continue with a tennis tournament this weekend at the Canyons Athletic Club in Hamilton, a "Turn & Burn" barrel race Sunday, October 18 at 9 a.m. at the Sapphire Events Center arena north of Corvallis, the dinner and theatre at Taste of Paris restaurant in Hamilton October 22, and a dinner at Mission Bistro in Stevensville, also October 22.

KLYQ 1240 AM is happy to help sponsor the Sprinkle Pink activities this year. Check out more activities at the Marcus Daly Hospital website.
