What was life like in the 1800s? Find out this weekend at the Big Hole National Battlefield.

The life of a military man at Fort Missoula in the 1800s is the topic of Dr. Bob Brown in the summer speaker series July 11 and 12 at the battlefield visitor center.

Brown takes on the role of Major Rawn, the man who founded Fort Missoula. Rawn also served in the Civil War and was involved in the Conflict of 1877, during which the battle at the Big Hole occurred.

The free public talks will be Saturday July 11 and Sunday July 12 at 12 noon and 3 p.m. each day.
