The May 3rd report from the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services shows no new positive tests for COVID-19. The state total remains at 455 so far in the pandemic. Since Saturday's report, 372 tests have been added to the total tests for 15,007 tests in the DPHHS files. There have been 16 deaths from the virus in Montana, five people are hospitalized and 404 people have recovered, as of Sunday morning.

The county health departments throughout Montana are urging continued social distancing and are asking the public to please wear cloth facemasks when you go out in public. There is added danger for the people with compromised immune systems and the older folks - stay home. If you feel sick - stay home. Be safe. On a separate issue, the rivers are running faster and at higher levels as we enter spring runoff. It's time to think twice before venturing out on the water.
