The Bitterroot Kiwanis Annual Food Drive Deadline Approaches
The Bitterroot Kiwanis Club has been providing food at Christmas for families in need for over four decades.
In this 41st year of the Kiwanis food drive, the club is requesting cash donations to supplement its shopping list for the food boxes (see photo). The food will be packed into boxes December 18 and the distribution happens December 19.
Caleb Senn of the club said the food is meant to last for a few days and the boxes include other items like toiletries and household items. All the donations remain in the Bitterroot Valley. The club works closely with Haven House, the Darby Bread Basket, Head Start and the Office of Public Assistance to identify the families in the south end of the valley who need the help.
