Again this year on the basketball court, it was the Broncs against the Broncs - Hamilton visiting Frenchtown for a double-header evening Thursday, February 6. The 6 p.m. game saw the Hamilton Lady Broncs defeat the Frenchtown Lady Broncs. It was a low scoring first half and at the mid-point Hamilton led 19 to 12. They continued to lead for the rest of the game - 31 to 18 after three and the final score was Hamilton 40 and Frenchtown 24.

Then the boys battled it out on the Frenchtown court. Hamilton led 13 to 9 after the first period and had a slim lead at the half 28 to 25. The teams were even throughout the third quarter until Frenchtown grabbed the lead at one point, which spurred Hamilton into a scoring streak and they led Frenchtown 46 to 39 going into the final period. The final minutes saw a classic basketball ending with a one-point margin pass back and forth as two great teams tried to put the game away. Free throw shots decided the game as Frenchtown squeaked past Hamilton 57 to 55.
