The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services has an update to the Thursday COVID-19 test numbers. As of 8 a.m. Friday morning, there are now 108 positive cases in the state. Gallatin County (Bozeman) has 39, Yellowstone County (Billings) has 20, Silver Bow (Butte) has 8, Missoula has 8, Cascade County 6 and Flathead County 6. The few Other counties in the list have either 1 or 2 cases.

As we reported earlier, Governor Steve Bullock announced the first death from COVID-19 in Montana. No other details were immediately available. The Montana DPHHS said that 7 infected patients are hospitalized, while the rest are recovering at home. Montana's "Shelter in Place" restrictions start at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 28, and are currently scheduled to continue until April 13.
