Ravalli County Public Health reported two new positive tests for COVID-19 in their Thursday afternoon report. Public Information Officer Joseph Hopkins said that there are now 14 active cases in the valley, with two people hopitalized.

Hopkins also reported that the test results have been received from the July "Snapshot" testing at the Hamilton High School parking lot. He said that all who tested negative for COVID will be receiving letters from Ravalli County Public Health and that the "vast majority of Community Snapshot tests were labeled COVID-19 Not Detected." The tests were processed at the Montana Public Health lab and the Mako medical lab in Raleigh, North Carolina. The tests were conducted to give health officials "helpful insights about the moment in time when the tests were administered." The full press release is at the Ravalli County official COVID-19 website.
