Winter Driving Conditions Continue on Montana Passes
Small isolated snowstorms have been moving through the mountains recently, and combined with warmer temperatures during the day, ice has been forming on the roads of the high elevation passes.
The black ice conditions of last week were made more dangerous by freezing fog banks, which reduce visibility and also deposit more ice on the roadways.
Even if we announce good driving conditions on KLYQ, the conditions can change by the time you reach the mountain passes. So, again, drive carefully. We have a link to pass cameras like this one from Lolo Pass on KLYQ.com.
