Setup for the Winter Special Olympics is Monday, January 23, at Lost Trail Powder Mountain.

The Grand Entry of all the participating schools and groups will be Tuesday afternoon at Lost Trail Powder Mountain, January 24 Then, there's the dance for the Special Olympians Tuesday evening at the Bitterroot River Inn back in Hamilton. The biggest day for competition on the hill will be Wednesday, January 25, and the award presentations will be events you won't want to miss.

Speaking during the KLYQ Event Show Friday, Dixie Dies invited more volunteers to come up to the ski resort and help out with a variety of activities - including food preparation, paperwork, and simply being part of the crowds that cheer on the special athletes. She said the number of athletes participating this year is one of the largest groups and the excitement level is pretty high.

If you'd like to volunteer, call Carla at 363-3028. This is the 36th year for Bitterroot Winter Special Olympics.
